The wreckage of the missing Myanmar military aircraft has been found in waters off the coast of Dawei township in the country's southern Tanintharyi region, according to the military.
The commander in chief's office said 106 soldiers and family members were on board, along with 14 crew members, reported AFP.
The plane left the southern coastal town of Myeik early on Wednesday afternoon bound for Myanmar's largest city, Yangon.
Contact with the plane was lost at around 1:35 p.m. local time when it was 20 miles (32 km) west of the town of Dawei.
Four naval ships and two air force planes were sent to search for the plane.
