The US will not issue anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of truck and bus tires from China, after its International Trade Commission found the US industry was not materially injured or threatened by them.
In February 2016, the US Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission began investigations. According to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the investigated products were worth about 1.1 billion US dollars, affecting about 110 Chinese tire-production companies.
China's Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals and Chemicals Importers and Exporters welcomed the ruling, saying it boosted confidence.
