The President of the UN General Assembly, Miroslav Lajcak, has expressed appreciation for China's role in promoting the multilateral system. And he hopes China will continue playing its global role in 2018.

We need a strong multilateral system. And it's very clear that your president and your government believe in multilateralism. So we are very grateful for that. I expect China to continue playing its global role as major and responsible power and someone who strengthen the importance of the UN system and the multilateralism."
