China's Ministry of Transport continues to carry out search and clean-up work in the East China Sea, after the Sanchi oil tanker sank off China's coast on Sunday. The location of the wreck has been confirmed. The Shanghai Salvage Bureau will send underwater robots to search for the wreck. Meanwhile, clean-up teams are monitoring oil slicks in the area to assess the wreck's ecological impact. According to the Chinese government, two oil slicks that leaked from the ship currently cover a combined area of 42 square miles. Authorities say they are focusing their efforts on strengthening on-site supervision and clean up work.
