Two injured in Taiwan plane crash

Two passengers were slightly injured when a small plane operated by Taiwanese airline Daily Air veered off the runway and hit guardrails while landing at an airport on an island off Taiwan on Thursday.
The plane’s nose and engines were damaged in the incident at Lanyu Airport on Orchid Island at 4:30 p.m.
There were 19 people on board the DHC6-400 aircraft, including two pilots, one crew member and a toddler.
The passengers, who had boarded Flight 55571 at Taitung Airport on the southeast coast of Taiwan, were safely evacuated. The two injured passengers reported slight discomfort in their ankles.
