An exhilarating, mind-blowing artistic festival is underway in South Africa. AfrikaBurn 2017 is being held at the Tankwa Karoo National Park, in the Northern Cape province.
The festival has been described as a festival of fire. This year, the annually held charity event provides participants with a platform to create and celebrate art.
There won't be any items for sale at the event, and there are no advertising, branding banners or vendors. The theme for the event this year is "play".
AfrikaBurn has become the biggest art festival in Africa. Having started with a mere 800 people setting up to play in the desert, this year the event has attracted over 13,000 visitors, according to the organizers.
