Duterte: Belt & Road Forum shows China's 'goodwill'

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said Tuesday the high-profile Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation which took place in Beijing this week showed Beijing is willing to share win-win cooperation with the rest of the world.
"One Belt One Road can be part of the program, or platform, for progress in the region. We can use it to stimulate growth and improve market access as it facilitates connectivity,” Duterte said upon his return to the Philippines.
He also encouraged Chinese enterprises to invest in small- and medium-sized Philippine companies, so as to facilitate the implementation of bilateral agreements.
Duterte said the Philippines and China signed a number of cooperation agreements, in fields such as energy and the economy, during his visit.
