Geng Shuang, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Wednesday that the first cooperation meeting of BRICS 2017 will be held on Thursday and Friday in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu Province, in bid for thorough preparation.
The cooperation meeting is the first formal activity since China has taken in the rotating BRICS presidency since January 1 this year. Around one hundred attendees of ambassadors, coordinators and delegates from China Development Bank will be present at the meeting, according to Geng.

The BRICS 2017 will be held in September in the city of Xiamen in southeast China’s Fujian Province.
