US-Philippines Ties: US president praises his 'great relationship' with Duterte

US President Donald Trump said he has a great relationship with Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte, which he said "has been very successful".

The remarks came from the two president's meeting on Monday on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit being held in Manila. The US president praised Duterte's hospitality and the organization of the summit he was hosting. The country is the last leg of his marathon Asia tour.
