At least nine people were killed and two others injured after a platform collapsed at a thermal power station under construction in Guangzhou. Suspects of the accident have been held in custody.
The incident happened at 8:00 a.m. local time in the city's Conghua district.
Officials have organized rescue workers to the site immediately after the accident.
Investigations into the cause of the collapse are underway.
