Passersby on Orange Island, a popular tourist destination in south China’s Hunan Province, helped rescue a young girl who had fallen into the fast-flowing Xiangjiang River on Sunday, by tying their clothes together to make a rope.
When this failed, they managed to pull the 15-year-old and her father, who had jumped in to the river to try and help her, up to the bridge using a proper rope.
Check out this video of the rescue, shot by tourists.
