‘Chinese Carnival’ becomes most important festival in this German town

Dietfurt is a small town in Germany's Bavaria state. Though the town's 3,000 residents are all Europeans, they identify themselves as Chinese and name the town they live is "China in Bavaria." That alone shows how much these people love Chinese culture. The town's "Chinese Carnival" was established In 1928 and has become the most important festival of this area since then. 
Some Germans consider the Chinese carnival in Dietfurt as the most interesting and impressive carnival in Bavaria.
Mayor of Dietfurt said that his town tried to build cultural exchange with China and it is actually functioning well. Dietfurt even has a partnership with Nanjing. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany.
