Chinese and French scientists have discovered a 350-meter-deep chasm in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was the first expedition of its kind to be jointly conducted in the area by Chinese and French experts.
The Donglan county region is famous for its karst formations. The newly discovered cave features sinkholes, limestone towers and forested spires with an entrance spanning 15 meters in diameter, and a total area of around 200 square meters.
