For tennis we head to London and the ATP Finals where Roger Federer was taking on Croatia's Marin Cilic in a rematch of the Wimbledon final that was won by Feds. By winning his first two matches in the Boris Becker Group, the 36 year old Swiss Maestro had already booked his place in the semi-finals, but that didn't mean he would go easy on the already-eliminated Cilic as he chases his seventh year-end title.
That's Cilic in the far court who was undone by foot blisters at Wimbledon and offers a much truer account of himself here, as that forehand gives him the first set in a tiebreaker.
Early in the second, Cilic has break point as the 2014 US Open Champion looks to win his first match at this year's Finals, but instead Roger takes this point easily and later wins the set 6-4.
The 19-time grand slam winner takes control in the third by building a 3-0 lead as he puts away the flashy backhand overhead while his wife and father look on.
Match point now for Federer and he wraps up the third set 6-1 to complete the comeback and finish the group stage with a 3-0 record. Next up for him is either Dominic Thiem or David Goffin in the semi-finals.
The final match in the Boris Becker Group sees two debutantes square off as Jack Sock in the far court takes on Alexander Zverev, who comes in and hammers a shot at the American, but Sock luckily gets his racquet on it to claim the game and make it 1-1 in the first set.
And there's Boris Becker in the stands.
Sock break Zverev for a 4-3 lead and later wins the set 6-4.
But the 20 year old German comes back with a vengeance in the second as he delivers an easy winner en route to winning the frame 6-1.
Sock gets the upperhand in the decider and when Zverev hits wide, Sock takes it 6-4 to become the first American to reach the last four for 10 years. He will meet Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals.
