Sinologist Dies: Renowned scholar Jao Tsung-I dies in Hong Kong

The renowned Sinologist and scholar Jao Tsung-I has died at the age of 101 in Hong Kong. Jao was born in Guangdong in 1917 and arrived in Hong Kong in 1949. He was well-known for his work in the humanities and arts, including Chinese culture, history, the Dunhuang Grottoes and oracle bone inscriptions.
