Tensions remain high between Washington and Pyongyang over the DPRK's nuclear program. Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday said China will work with the US to find a peaceful solution to these issues.

"China has noted the fact that the US is conveying the message of dealing with Korean Peninsula issues through dialogue. I think the message is positive. Solving these issues through peaceful means is definitely beneficial to all parties. China adheres to all the UN Security Council resolutions, and an effective mechanism on how to carry out these resolutions on the DPRK has been put in place. The international community has recognized China's efforts in solving the DPRK issue. China, as one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, is not implementing the resolutions due to outside pressures; instead, it's our responsibility to do so,“ said Geng Shuang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
