Two CGTN Arabic programs received awards at the 18th Arab Radio and Television Festival on Friday. 

The "Second Central Television Arabic Competition" won best variety show, and "Terrorism - the common enemy of mankind" best warning film.

Abdelrahim Suleiman, director general of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), presented the awards to Shen Jianing, the assistant president of China International Television Corporation (CITVC) and CGTN Arabic channel's Jin Ruiming.

"The Second Central Television Arabic Competition" was held in 2016. The competition was not only broadcast on CGTN's media platforms, but also simultaneously on Egyptian and Lebanese national television stations  

"Terrorism - the common enemy of mankind" is CGTN's original Arabic public welfare promotion film about the international frequency of terrorist attacks. The film uses animation to inform audiences.

The festival was organized by the ASBU and held in the Tunisian city of Hammamet.
