Cold Snap: Snowstorm causes temperatures to drop in central, eastern China
[]
A winter snowstorm has brought freezing temperatures to China's central and eastern provinces. Large parts of the country saw the first snow of the year on Tuesday. Although snowfall has stopped in most regions hit by the cold snap, temperatures have continued to drop and traffic has been severely limited. Weather authorities have advised residents to remain indoors, and have urged local officials to take precautions regarding roads, railways, and power grids.
