The opening up of China's economy has been widely discussed at the Boao Forum.
CGTN's Wang Mangmang interviewed WTO chief economist Robert Koopman, who shared his views on the change in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows, and China's goal of attracting 600 billion dollars of overseas investment in the next five years.
Koopman noted how investors perceive developed countries to be safe havens for investment, adding that their economic growth is relatively stronger and larger than that of developing countries.
Koopman also noted that China has been catching up for many years, and has been a dynamic source and location for FDI.
