China's Su Bingtian was competing in heat four of the 100m in the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.
Despite having a false start in his race, Su was able to win this heat in a season-best time of 10.03 seconds to reach the semi-finals.
"Generally speaking, my performance was not bad but I still think I didn't race the same way that I have in training. I felt my timing was off in the competition. I hope in the semi-finals, I can be more focused on the race, as I felt I didn't give my best effort tonight," Su told media after the match.

In men’s 100-meter sprint, all eyes are on Usain Bolt who was also able to advance to the semi-finals. The Jamaican, dubbed as the world's fastest man, is ending his career after this meet.
The Jamaican is his usual jovial self before the race. Bolt has won the 100m at every Worlds since 2009 except on 2011 in Daegu, South Korea, when he was disqualified for a false start. Bolt has a poor start but then turned on the jets, and was able to power home to victory clocking a time of 10.07 seconds, well below his best in the stadium of 9.63 when he ran at the 2012 Olympics.

"Overall, the start was poor as always but I have to really get it together because the shape I am in I have to really get going. So I can win if I want to stay focused and hopefully everything comes together tomorrow. For me right now, I am just happy. As I said, the crowd is giving me a lot of vibes. I got goosebumps as always when I come out. I really appreciate the way they show me love. I'm just really happy for this moment. We'll see how tomorrow goes," said Bolt after the match.
