Zimbabwe Politics: Former finance minister in jail until bail hearing

Zimbabwe's former finance minister, Ignatius Chombo, will be detained until his bail application next Monday. Chombo was charged with attempting to defraud the Zimbabwean central bank, among other offences allegedly committed in 2004.
Chombo is among those detained by the military when it seized power before Robert Mugabe resigned. He was charged on Saturday with three counts of corruption in offences that allegedly occurred more than a decade ago.
