Winter Olympics: Moscow rally to support Russian athletes competing in Pyeongchang
[]
Thousands have gathered in Moscow in support of the Russian athletes competing in this month's Winter Olympics.
Similar rallies are being held across the country. The Russian deputy prime minister urged the IOC to allow the 15 athletes still under IOC consideration to compete. As of now, 169 Russians are set to compete in Pyeongchang as independents, following a ban against the country. They will not be allowed to wear Russia's colors or symbols. And if they win a gold medal, the Olympic anthem will be played.
