Five killed, one injured in dynamite plant explosion in central China

Five people were killed and one injured following an explosion at a dynamite manufacturing plant in Changde, in central China’s Hunan Province on Tuesday, local authorities reported.
The blast took place at around 2:00 p.m. local time. Initial reports said three people had been killed but two bodies were later pulled out from the debris, bringing the death toll to five, according to a spokesman of the county's publicity department.

Another person who was injured has been hospitalized but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The plant is owned by Mintai Black Dynamite Limited Liability Company.
The legal representative of the company was in police custody and an investigation was underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
