Wu Quanbi uncovered a corpse while live-streaming a mushroom search on a hill in southeast Guizhou Province on Tuesday. Over 1,000 viewers witnessed the dead body, before the host halted the stream and called the local police.

Wu and his team climbed a hill near Kaili County on May 23. After setting up a camp, they started a stream introducing how to find mushrooms on the mountain. “I smelled a slight foul odour, I thought we were near the mushrooms.” Wu followed the smell, but soon found a black and purple body.

The case is under investigation by the local police bureau in Kaili.

Wu plans to restart his wild live streaming show. “I think it will never happen again," he said of his discovery.
