The DPRK's military said on Friday it will take the "toughest counteraction" against the US, reported KCNA, with tensions soaring amid reports that Pyongyang is preparing another possible missile or nuclear weapon test.
The country will “mercilessly foil” all the “provocative options” of the US with "Korean-style toughest counteraction," warned the General Staff of the Korean People's Army.
On the same day, Pyongyang also commented on Washington's recent missile strike on Syria, launched in retaliation against a suspected chemical weapon attack.
"The US should be punished according to international law as its military attack on Syria was an undisguised act of aggression and war crime," said a spokesman for the Korean Jurists Committee in a statement.
