Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reshuffled his cabinet in an effort to speed up economic development. He appointed nine new ministers in the final 20 months of his term, but made no changes to the home and finance ministry. An official from the prime minister's office said the new appointment aims to deliver Modi's vision of a new India, in which he promised in his election to boost manufacturing and create more jobs. However, economic growth has slowed to its weakest pace over past three years.
