Japan Politics: Abe's move to alter constitution triggers public anxiety

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's plan to speed up work on revising the constitution, has been met with concern. The latest polls suggest that over half of the Japanese people are against amendments to the constitution. Abe's Liberal Democratic Party hopes to compile the plan for amending the constitution by February, and to make a formal amendment proposal later this fall.
