Brazil's lower house of Congress voted on Wednesday to reject corruption charges against President Michel Temer.

Earlier, Prosecutor-General Rodrigo Janot filed charges against Temer at the Supreme Court, accusing the president of accepting bribes from meatpacking group JBS since 2010. 

The Supreme Court sent charges against Temer to the lower house of Congress at the end of June.
