US President Donald Trump's choice for secretary of state, former ExxonMobil chairman Rex Tillerson, narrowly won approval from a Senate committee on Monday. The senate foreign relations committee voted 11 to 10, approving Tillerson. The vote saw every Republican back the former oil executive, while every Democrat opposed his nomination.
