Members of China's Miao ethnic minority mark the end of the Lunar New Year celebrations with their famous Lusheng Festival.
These pictures were captured on Thursday in Zhouxi, southwest China's Guizhou Province, where the largest and most historical local Lusheng Festival is held.
The Miao Lusheng Dance, a major event in Lusheng Festival, has been included in China's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a dance where young ladies dress up in festive costumes and dance along with the sound of Sheng, a reed-pipe musical instrument.
The dance is actually shared by many ethnic groups in southern China, including the Dong, Zhuang, Yao and Bouyei. They perform the Lusheng Dance in various ways, but share the cheerful spirit within it all the same. The Lusheng Festival also includes fun competition and singing events.
