Chinese woman shot in Mozambique, police still searching for suspects

A Chinese woman was shot and seriously injured by two unknown individuals on Wednesday night in Chimoio, Mozambique's central Manica Province, the Chinese Embassy in Mozambique confirmed on Thursday.
The Chinese woman was followed by two criminals on the way back home with her husband. The criminals shot at her head, according to Xinhua news agency.
The suspects drove away after the incident, and police are still working to identify them.
The embassy said the woman was still in danger and had been sent to Beira, the second largest city in Mozambique, for better treatment, Xinhua has reported.
