Qatar’s Foreign Minister denounces sanctions as ‘unfair’

Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani denounced the sanctions imposed against Doha by Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries as "unfair" and "illegal” during his visit to Paris on Monday.

Al-Thani said Qatar supports Kuwait's mediation efforts to end its dispute with neighbours including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE, and is ready to engage in talks. 

The Foreign Minister declared Doha still has no clue as to why these countries cut their diplomatic and transport ties with Qatar last week. Saudi Arabia has long accused Qatar of backing terrorist groups and supporting Iran.
