Rohingya Refugees: Security a concern ahead of repatriation plan
[]
Some of the Rohingya refugees arriving in Bangladesh are speaking about military attacks on their homes in Myanmar, raising doubts about plans to send back over 655-thousand who had already fled. More than 100 Rohingya Muslims have crossed into Bangladesh from Myanmar since Wednesday, even as Dhaka prepares to start repatriating next week some of the refugees. Bangladesh and Myanmar on Tuesday agreed to complete the return of the refugees within two years, with the process due to begin next Tuesday. The United Nations has described the Myanmar military operations in the northern part of Rakhine as a classic case of ethnic cleansing against the Rohingya. The Myanmar military calls the action counter-insurgency operations.
