However, it's different when it comes to the YPG because the United States sees them as an ally and the fight against ISIL.
The US decision to work, cooperate and include the YPG in the border forces, not just in furied Turkey, but also triggered a threat by the Turkish president Erdogan.
TAYYIP ERDOGAN TURKISH PRESIDENT "Now the US has acknowledged that it has established an army of terror along our countries border. It is up to us to shrink the army of terror before it's born."

Now relations with the US were already strained for some time now. However this decision by the US is just too much for the Turkey to stand and Turkish president has stated that the US should choose sides when it comes to allies. They should not try to eliminate, when terrors organization which would be ISIL with a different organization, which is the YPG according to Turkey.
Now Turkey has also signaled that an operation may be coming in and from Syria soon. Already over the weekend there were some shellings taking place for more than Turkeys across the border at YPG position and Turkish president has stated that an operation may start any day now.
