China National Day: Flag raising ceremonies held in Beijing and HKSAR as PRC turns 68

Today marks the 68th birthday of the People's Republic of China.The flag raising ceremony in Beijings Tian'anmen Square on this day is a special occasion for many. Nearly 80-thousand people were there this morning. Many of them have come to the Chinese capital for the Golden Week holiday.
A flag raising ceremony was also held in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Chief Executive Carrie Lam and former Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying attended the event.
