Iraq Suicide Attack: Attackers kill 8 in Baghdad

Officials in Baghdad say at least eight people were killed and 37 others injured Monday in a suicide attack in the city's southeast. An Interior Ministry official said two militants armed with explosive belts and guns attacked a health center and opened fire at civilians. Islamic State has claimed responsibility.
ISIL has suffered a string of military defeats in both Syria and Iraq. Last week it lost control of the last town it had held in Iraq.
