A sudden downpour of hailstones hit Guiyang, the capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province. The hailstorm lasted for about three hours on Wednesday night, with the diameter of the largest hailstones at 15 millimeters. 

Guizhou’s meteorological department issued a yellow alert for thunder and lightning and a red alert for hailstones.
