The Russian Foreign Ministry has commented on the Nuclear Posture Review released by the United States on Friday, expressing disappointment with the anti-Russian content of the document.

The ministry said it regrets the US update on its nuclear weapons by accusing Russia of lowering the nuclear threshold and conducting some aggressive behavior. The ministry added that it will take all necessary measures to ensure national security. The ministry also pointed out that Russia would only resort to nuclear weapons in two scenarios: either in response to aggression with the use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies, or in case of use of conventional weapons that threaten the states' survival.
