Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta described the trip he took on the Standard Gauge Railway line built with China's help in his country as a ''wonderful experience''.

The president made the remark when traveling from the port city of Mombasa to capital Nairobi after the new railway's opening this week.

Kenyatta believes the line will transform his country and create huge savings for his people.
