Missing Argentine Submarine: Argentina steps up search for ARA San Juan

Argentina has intensified its search for a missing military submarine and its 44-member crew. The ARA San Juan departed on Monday from Ushuaia, near the southernmost tip of South America, and was heading back to base in Mar del Plata, south of Buenos Aires.
There has been no contact with the submarine since early Wednesday. The Argentine Navy has deployed three ships and two aircraft to search for the vessel.
