Iran's President Hassan Rouhani is said to have expressed hope that unrest in his country will end in a few days.
A Turkish presidential source said Rouhani made the statement in a telephone call with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan told Rouhani that "peace and stability" in Iranian society had to be preserved. Turkey's foreign minister was quoted on Wednesday as saying that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump are supporting the unrest in Iran. The Foreign Minister was also cited as saying that Turkey was against foreign interventions in Iran.
