For tennis we go to Russia, where in the final of the St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy, the Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova was up against the defending champion from France, Kristina Mladenovic. Two-time Wimbledon winner Kvitova received a wildcard to play in the tournament, as she looked to make up for her first round exit at the Australian Open.
Here is Kvitova preparing to serve and the statuesque Czech hammers it down the tee which sets up an easy winner with the first set tied 1-1.
And that would be the only game Mladenovic wins in the frame as Kvitova blasts through the opener to take it 6-1.
The Czech continues her dominance in the second as that return winner gives her an early break.
Now leading 3-1, Kvitova is going to break the Frenchwoman again to take a stranglehold on the set.
Kvitova is now serving for the championship holding a 5-2 lead as she looks to become the first wildcard to win the title. The Czech is forced out wide, but replies with a brilliant backhand winner to seal the deal. Kvitova claims her first trophy of the year to maintain her streak of winning at least one title each year since 2011.
