Zhang Huarong is the president of the largest female shoe manufacturer in China, which is based in Guangdong Province. He's a member of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), an advisory body with delegates from a range of sectors and groups in society.
At this year's Two Sessions, Zhang's proposals focus on the One Belt, One Road Initiative, and economic reforms.
“For the One Belt, One Road Initiative, I hope China and other concerned countries will work together to provide a better legal, political, and business environment for enterprises. At the same time, these companies should keep improving their corporate culture, as well as their business and living environment for their staff to ensure their sustainable growth,” Zhang told to CGTN.
Zhang said he prepared for about six months to present his proposals this year. With the rapid development of information and digital technology, he suggested that government and industries make better use of big data.
“For example, we can make everyone's personal information accessible through one number. All the information will become easier to access and more transparent. All aspects, including health and job evaluations, will be included. Big data will largely improve the efficiency of corporate and social management, as well as our credit system,” Zhang said.
Along with other CPPCC members, Zhang has submitted his final proposals after several group discussions. Not every proposal are to be adopted, but he said it is his responsibility to advise the government.
