US Deep Freeze: How are the animals doing this weather?
[]
Even as the winter storms in the US bring misery for us humans, it seems like some animals are just fine with it.
Raccoons with thick fur remain unbothered by the cold -- and this one is even enjoying his meal at the Millbrook school in New York City.
And this puppy, which is seeing snow for the first time, seems to be lapping it all up, even as the cold front spreads to the sunshine state of Florida.
But not all animals there are that lucky. These iguanas are as frozen as a popsicle -- the cold-blooded reptiles become immobile when the temperature falls to a certain level. Guess it's time to thaw them out.
And you might think the red wolves in New York's Wolf Conservation Center would be alright with the frigid temperatures -- but apparently it's not welcome because of the difficulty in finding prey.
