Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with Liu Qibao, head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on Monday.
During the meeting, leaders from China and Hungary have promoted the all-dimensional development of bilateral relations in recent years.
Liu said China thinks highly of the bilateral ties between the two countries, and wishes to promote economic cooperation under China's Belt and Road Initiative(BRI) and the 16+1 mechanism.
The 16+1 mechanism is a platform created in 2012 by China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries. Orabn says that he looks forward to the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing in May, and Hungary will participate in construction projects tied to the Belt and Road Initiative.
