The DPRK's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Han Tae Song, has warned the US it's ready to send "more gift packages" its way, amid international uproar over Pyongyang's latest and biggest nuclear weapons test.
HAN TAE SONG, DPRK AMBASSADOR TO THE UN "The recent self-defensive measures by my country the DPRK are gift packages addressed to none other than the U.S. The U.S. will receive more gift packages from my country as long as it relies on reckless provocations and futile attempts to put pressure on the DPRK."
Han Tae Song was addressing the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament, just two days after the DPRK carried out its sixth nuclear test. He said pressure or sanctions would never alter Pyongyang's course, adding it would never, under any circumstances, put its nuclear deterrence program on the negotiating table. Meanwhile, the US disarmament ambassador, Robert Wood said the DPRK had defied the international community once again with its test.
