The high-profile humanoid robot Sophia made a public appearance in Seoul wearing a traditional Korean dress while exchanging greetings with a mayoral candidate. She was recently granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia. Sophia is a "breakthrough" artificial intelligence robot, developed by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics and activated on April 19th, 2015. She is able to display more than 62 facial expressions.
