Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke on the phone with his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in on Thursday.
President Xi says China supports the DPRK and South Korea in promoting inter-Korean dialogue and exchanges as well as South Korea's efforts to ensure the success of the winter Olympics in Pyeongchang next month.
President Moon thanked China for its thoughtful arrangements during his visit to China last month, and said he's paying attention to China's role in the Korean Peninsula issue.
The two leaders said they reached a consensus on developing a China-South Korea strategic cooperation and strengthening coordination on regional and international affairs during Moon's recent visit to China.
