Authorities in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Monday warned of a possible second landslide, near the site of a deadly one that killed at least 10 people on Saturday, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The provincial government said a displacement of land was detected by radar at around 11:10 a.m. in Maoxian County, where rescue efforts to find survivors of Saturday’s massive landslide are still ongoing.
The displacement of land might trigger another landslide, they said.
All rescuers and media workers have been required to evacuate from the scene.
So far, 10 bodies have been found and 93 people are still missing following Saturday’s disaster.
