Eight people have died after a coal mine explosion in Lianyuan, central China’s Hunan Province, with three people still missing. There were 29 people on duty, 18 of them have been rescued safely, with one person injured.

The accident happened at 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday. The scene of the incident, Zubao coal mine is located in Doulishan county.
